Tinnitus Brain Training

Pushing your tinnitus into the background

Our unique Tinnitus Tunes brain training exercises are the secret to achieving peace. The brain training treatment has been used at the University of Auckland and Tinnitus Tunes by over 3,000 people from across the world.

The Tinnitus Tunes brain training uses the natural plasticity of your brain to shift the attention away from your tinnitus. It takes around 20 minutes per day over at least 15 days.

How does it work?

For best results have good quality headphones, or earbuds

You simply listen to a daily set of sound files and embeded within each sound file will be three special sounds. You can directly stream or download the brain training exercises using your desk top computer, laptop, tablet or even your smart phone.

You need to try and identify the three embedded sounds and the direction they are coming from (into your left ear, middle of your head or right ear. )

The exercises are easy to start with and then become harder as we introduce intefering sounds like children laughing. This makes your brain have to focus harder & harder and it this focus that pushes your tinnitus into the background.

The type of sounds include:

  • Someone eating an apple

  • A cat meowing

  • A train whistle

  • A dog barking

  • A creaky door opening, etc

Frequently asked questions

You've got questions. We've got answers.

Does it matter if I get the answer wrong?

It does not matter if you describe any of the special three embedded sounds incorrectly (or get the direction wrong). It is your brain working harder & harder to focus through the interfering sounds that pushes your tinnitus into the background

Can I repeat the brain training?

Sure! The benefit of online treatment is you take it at your own pace and can repeat individual sessions as many times as you want. We do recommend you don't try and rush through the exercises, you want to give your brain time to focus and adapt.
